Lavrans was referred to my wife and me a number of years ago when we started making period updates on our 1906 Foursquare Portland home. The first project was built-in book cases around a restored fireplace. It was amazing work including the necessary design leading up to the finished product. At this point, we knew that he would practically become a member of the family.

 

Next, we moved to a bathroom, double sink vanity with built-in medicine cabinets. This was a new master bathroom and the period design and workmanship was perfect. We also added a built-in closet. Next, Lavrans designed and built a magnificent exterior, Ipe deck. The railings needed to be “hefty” and coordinate with the characteristics of the home. It integrates directly into the kitchen and all our friends comment on the look and quality.

 

The next project was a backyard office for me. Again, it was designed and built to the period and character of the main home. I can never move because of my “man cave”.

 

We really miss having access to Lavrans since he moved to Seattle. I want new kitchen cabinets but he is too far away. We absolutely recommend Lavrans and anyone should feel free to give us a call.
